Kelly Nola Collects Skyline Conference Rookie Of The Week Honors

New York, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent freshman guard Kelly Nola (Staten Island, N.Y.) has been named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week in Women's Basketball it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. The weekly honor is the first of Nola's career and the second for the program this season.

 

Nola helped Mount Saint Vincent to a 2-0 week in non-conference play by averaging 6.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. She rounded out the two game stretch going 5-for-16 from the floor and swiped five steals.

 

After registering three points and a steal at New Rochelle on Friday, Nola closed the week with a career-high 10 points on Sunday in a 93-21 win at Medgar Evers. She finished the Medgar Evers game 4-for-11 from the floor, including a three-pointer, and posted a career-high five rebounds and four steals.

 

Following the perfect week, Mount Saint Vincent stands at 3-1 overall on the season. The Dolphins will close out a five game road trip to start the season on December 1 when they travel to York (N.Y.). Tip-off with the Cardinals is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
