Brooklyn College senior forward Megan Campbell has been named to the 2013-2014 D3hoops.com Women's Basketball All-Atlantic Region Third Team, as voted on by the Sports Information Directors in the Atlantic Region.

Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools, who were contacted multiple times as the season wound down to remind them to make their players eligible. There were 689 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region.

It's the 13th season D3hoops.com has named All-Region teams.

The regional Rookie of the Year award honors the top freshman in each region, while D3hoops.com also names a regional Coach of the Year.

Regions that have fewer than 40 Division III teams have two teams. The Northeast, which is nearly twice that size, has four teams, while all other regions have three teams.

Campbell, a 2013-2014 City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) First Team All-Star, made an immediate impact in her first season in Brooklyn, averaging 14.7 points-per-game, to go along with 7.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks-per-game. Campbell led the Bulldogs in scoring, rebounding, blocks and minutes played, while appearing in all 30 games on the season, making 28 starts.

The Tobyhanna, PA native played a key role in helping BC secure its sixth straight appearance in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Metro Championships and second straight runner-up finish in the tournament.
