Middletown, Pa. – Marymount University senior guard Katelyn Fischer set the Capital Athletic Conference women's basketball record for career three-pointers in an 89-53 victory over league newcomer Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday night.   The Saints improve to 14-8 overall and 9-4 in league play.

Fischer tallied her 197th career three-pointer, besting the mark set by Gallaudet's Sherry Bradley from 1991-95.

Five Saints scored in double-figures led by Aileen Maknati with 22 points off the bench.  Fischer added 16, Kiki Laux and Kievanna Lacey both had 12 while Aliya Roseborough chipped in 11.

Fischer paced the offense with nine assists.

A relatively close half saw both sides shoot well with the Saints converting 50 percent from the floor compared to PSH's 45.5%.  Harrisburg (6-16, 1-12 CAC) opened the game on a 5-0 run before the Blue and White responded with a 10-0 output of their own to lead 10-5 at the 14:28 mark.  After trading leads twice more, the Saints put together another 10-0 run to lead 25-13 with 8:29 to play.  Marymount would lead by as many as 15 in the frame before the Lions mounted a brief comeback, pulling within five, before the Saints took a 42-31 lead going into halftime.

Coming out of the break, MU kept a double-digit lead most of the half until a 9-0 run over a four-minute span put the Saints up 21 at 63-42 with 8:42 to play.  Marymount shot a sizzling 61.9% in the frame, holding the Lions to just 36.4% from the floor, to put the game out of reach.

Kaitlyn Carmo led Harrisburg with 17 points.
