York, Pa. – Marymount University senior guard Katelyn Fischer tied the Capital Athletic Conference women's basketball record for career three-pointers in a 78-62 loss at 15th-ranked York on Saturday afternoon.  Fischer tallied her 196th career three-pointer, tying mark set by Gallaudet's Sherry Bradley from 1991-95, as the Saints fall to 13-8 overall and 8-3 in league play.

Fischer led the Saints with 13 points to go with six assists and five rebounds while Miranda Krott added 10 points and seven boards.

Marymount hit the opening basket of the game before York (20-1, 12-1 CAC) responded with a 10-0 spurt.  The Saints cut the run with back-to-back three-pointers from Theresa Wicks that sparked a 13-5 run of their own to tie things up at 15-15 at the 13:46 mark.  From there, the Spartans responded with a 13-3 run over the next seven minutes to lead 28-18 while eventually taking a 42-27 lead into halftime.

In the second, the Saints couldn't make up any ground early on despite clamping down and not allowing a York three-pointer in the frame after surrendering eight in the opener.  Marymount did put together a late run, outscoring the Spartans 16-7 in the final four minutes of the contest, but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback attempt.

Brittany Hicks led York with 24 points.

Marymount returns to the hardwood on Wednesday as it travels to face CAC newcomer Penn State Harrisburg.
