Montclair, NJ – Senior guard/forward Nicosia Henry (Bolingbrook, IL, Bolingbrook) scored 17 points while junior guard Janitza Aquino (Kearny, NJ, Kearny) added 14 as 11th-ranked Montclair State registered its fifth straight win with a 68-37 victory over Rutgers-Camden on Saturday.

Junior forward Melissa Tobie (Elizabeth, NJ, Roselle Catholic) had 12 points, four assists, four blocks and three steals as the Red Hawks (11-1, 5-0 NJAC) allowed a season-low for points while defeating the Scarlet Raptors for the 15th consecutive meetings as MSU is now 44-15 in the all-time series.

Sophomore guard Krystle Cook (Philadelphia, PA / Girard College) had 13 points for Rutgers-Camden (2-5, 0-4 NJAC), which was playing its first game since December 20.

The Red Hawks stormed out of the gate scoring the first 15 points of the game over the first 4:13. Henry, the NJAC Player of the Week, got the ball rolling with a layup with Aquino scoring the next six points on a three-pointer and three-point play before another Henry layup made it 10-0 with 17:20 remaining. Henry converted a layup off a steal by Sarah Kluth (Lynbrook, NY, St. Mary's) and then buried a three-point from the left corner as MSU led 15-0.

Alex Gravinese (Audubon, NJ / Audubon) snapped the run with a three-pointer and a jumper by Cook cut the lead to 12 points, 17-5. Monica Burch (Lawnside, NJ / Sterling) later added a layup to make the score 19-7 with 10:08 to play however that would be as close as the Scarlet Raptors would get the rest of the way as Henry's 13 points in the first half staked the Red Hawks to a 35-22 lead at the break.

Henry also added four rebounds, three assists and five steals as Montclair State collected 22 steals in the game. Aquino had two steals and Kluth finished with a career-best 11 rebounds, including nine of the offensive end.

Narobi Colon (Brooklyn, NY / Medgar Evers College Prep) had seven points for Rutgers-Camden which got six rebounds apiece from Tanjae Lewis (Magnolia, NJ / Sterling) and Michelle Onu (Cherry Hill, NJ / Cherry Hill East).

Both teams return to action with NJAC contests. Montclair State is in Jersey City, NJ on Wednesday, January 8 to face New Jersey City University at 6:00 pm. Rutgers-Camden hosts Rutgers-Newark at home on Monday, January 6 at 1:00 pm.
