Senior forward Taylor Young had 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals to lead five Tommies scoring in double figures in No. 10-ranked St. Thomas' 100-46 victory over visiting Carleton in Saturday's MIAC women's basketball play at Schoenecker Arena.

The Tommies (8-1 overall, 6-0 MIAC) maintained a one-half game lead atop the conference standings.  Second-place Bethel (5-0) kept pace with a four-point home victory over St. Ben's.

Skylar Tsutsui had 13 points to lead the Knights (4-4, 2-3).

The Toms shot 57 percent from the floor and made 11-of-17 from 3-point range as they pushed their season win streak to eight. They compiled a 55-13 advantage in bench points, as 12 players scored.

Elaine Warner had 14 points and five rebounds; Alyssa Favilla had 12 points; Maggie Weiers added 12 points and seven rebounds; and Katie Stone had 12 points and six assists.

UST's Hannah Hughes drilled three 3-pointers to fuel a 38-3 run over the final 13:20 of the first half that build a 48-14 lead. The Toms are allowing just 44.2 ppg in their 6-0 MIAC start.

The 11 3-pointers and 100 points were both the program's most since UST sank a school-record 16 en route to a 102-40 win over St. Mary's in December 2008.

St. Thomas had its Monday Jan. 6 home game with Bethel postponed until Jan. 13 due to extreme cold in the forecast. The Toms will play Wednesday at St. Olaf.
