Baruch Finishes 1-1 at D3Hoops Classic

The Baruch College Bearcats finished with a 1-1 record at the D3hoops Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Bearcats ended their participation on Sunday with a disappointing 62-48 defeat to Ohio Northern University at the Southpoint Casino Resort & Equestrian Center.

The team struggled shooting only 34.4 percent (21-61), including 2-of-21 from 3-point range, and were out-rebounded 48-29.

They trailed 27-20 at halftime, but scored the first seven points of the second half to tie the contest and force Ohio Northern into a timeout.

The opponent scored the next six points following the time out and led the rest of the way to record the victory by shooting 47.1 percent (24-for-51) from the field.

Kiara Johnson led the team with 12 points and Sheridan Taylor recorded another double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Lynda Fields dished out six assists.

The Bearcats will return home to the ARC Arena on Friday, January 3, with a 6:00 pm conference contest against the College of Staten Island.
