Women's Basketball Runs to 67-50 Win Over Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, Penn. – The Lehman College women's basketball team rallied for a 67-50 win over host Cedar Crest College, in the Consolation Game of the Hilton Garden Inn Tournament on Sunday afternoon. Lehman is now 2-1 on the year.

Lehman never trailed in the game, and led by as many as 20 points.

Newcomer Amani Lightbourne (Elmsford, N.Y./Alexander Hamilton) recorded 21 points on the day, making nine of her 18 shots from the field. Lightbourne added 10 rebounds and five assists.

Sophomore Jennifer Navarro (Jamaica, N.Y./Grover Cleveland) had 15 points, as junior Shalaya Nieves (Camden, Del./Caesar Rodney) and freshman Genesis Liberato (Santo Domingo, D.R./ Liceo Ramon Matias Mella) each added 11.

For the game, Lehman recorded 23 assists on 28 baskets. Liberato led the way with eight.

Up next, Lehman will host CUNYAC foe Medgar Evers on Tuesday, November 26, at 5:00 p.m., in the home opener.
