DOYLESTOWN (PA) – In the final home game of her collegiate career, Delaware Valley College senior center Emily Soper recorded 21 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks to lead the Aggies to a 72-58 triumph over visiting Manhattanville College in a Freedom Conference game.

The win improved Delaware Valley to 10-14 overall and 4-9 in conference play while the Valiants fell to 10-13 and 3-10.

Soper was one of two Aggie seniors honored before the game (Amanda Turowski was the other). The 6-foot-1 center hit 9 of 13 shots from the field and was 3-for-6 from the foul line. She increased her school-record career blocked shots total to 239 while upping her point total to 1,321 (eighth all-time) and rebounding total to 872 (third all-time).

The two teams entered the halftime break tied at 23-23 before Delaware Valley dominated the second half thanks to 50 percent shooting from the field. The Aggies opened the stanza by scoring nine of the first 11 points for a seven-point advantage.

Manhattanville got back to within two, 32-30, with 16:45 remaining, but Delaware Valley responded with an 8-2 spurt, including six by Soper, for a 40-32 advantage. The Valiants pulled to within five on four separate occasions, the last coming on a Taylor Wilson layup with 7:23 left to make it 52-47. Delaware Valley then hit for eight of the next nine and never looked back.

Sophomore Brenna Coll finished the evening with 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for the Aggies. Freshman Eireann Anastasi connected for 12 points and eight boards while sophomore Agatha Drozd added 10 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Turowski grabbed five rebounds in the win.

Alyson Caiazzo had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds for Manhattanville. Wilson was right behind with 19 points and 10 boards.
