Dockter makes house call, cures ailing Tommies

Sophomore Jenna Dockter sank 8-of-9 shots and scored a career-high 20 points as the Tommies (14-5 overall, 12-4 MIAC) snapped a three-game losing streak with Wednesday night's home win over the Carleton Knights (4-15, 4-12) in MIAC women's basketball at Schoenecker Arena.

UST raced to leads of 10-0 and 18-2, then used a 14-0 run to build a 32-5 lead with 2:00 left in the first half.

The Toms, who improved to 9-1 this season at home, shot 50 percent from the floor, had a 40-17 rebounding advantage, and sank nine 3-pointers. Dockter was 4-of-4 from 3-point range.

UST's Taylor Young scored nine points, and Carley Emery and Anna Smith each had eight points.

Skylar Tsutsui scored seven points to lead Carleton.

The Toms are on the road Saturday at Augsburg and next Monday at Bethel.
