ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona senior forward Tamara Thomas grabbed 17 rebounds during the Lady Lions' 58-41 win over Hilbert College on Saturday to become the women's basketball program's all-time leading rebounder.

Entering the game, she needed just seven rebounds to pass former Lady Lion Kim Ebersole (1999-2003) and her then-record 599 rebounds. Thomas broke Ebersole's record in the first half of Saturday's game, and she finished the day with 610 career rebounds.

Thomas began her Penn State Altoona women's basketball career in 2008 and has played in 89 games for the team.
