A balanced Keuka College women's basketball team placed five in double-figures as the Storm held off Penn State-Harrisburg 86-71 Sunday afternoon inside the Weed Physical Arts Center.

It was the most points Keuka (8-2, 5-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference) has scored all season. The Storm also handed out a season-most 21 assists.  

Sophomore Erica Pendrak (Utica, NY/New York Mills) scored a season-most 16 points on 7 of 10 shooting with 7 rebounds and 5 assists while junior Danielle Gravel (Sidney, NY/Sidney) added 14 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds for Keuka.

Junior Casey Chamberlain (Perry, NY/Perry) added 13 points and six rebounds while classmate Jessica Bandrowski (Center Moriches, NY/Center Moriches) had 10 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals to ignite the Green and Gold.

Senior Mariah Mouzon (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) chipped in with 11 points and four rebounds while classmate Montana McDonald (Romulus, NY/Romulus) added eight points and five rebounds and sophomore Brittany Hadley (Jasper, NY/Jasper-Troupsburg) had seven points on her 20th birthday for the Storm.

Gravel and Bandrowski each knocked down '3s' while Chamberlain made a jumper for an 8-0 lead 2:31 into the game.

The Storm lead fluctuated between six and 12 points for most of the half, until the Green and Gold used a 10-0 run to take a 36-17 lead. Sophomore Amanda Kubitz (Spencerport, NY/EJ Wilson) scored five points while Gravel made a '3' and Bandrowski added two free throws during the run.

Keuka took a 49-37 lead into halftime as Gravel scored 14 points, Bandrowski had 8 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds while Pendrak poured in 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting.

Harrisburg (8-5, 4-2) made five'3s' to start the second half and sliced the deficit to 55-54 on a '3' from Amanda Moyer five minutes into the second.

McDonald capped a 9-1 run with a lay-in with 8:34 remaining that put the Storm up 64-55. The Nittany Lions clawed within 68-63 on a layup from Jasmine Yanich, but Keuka connected on 6 of 8 free throws down the stretch to pull away.

Keuka shot 44.6 percent (29-for-65) while holding Harrisburg to just 32.4 percent shooting (24-for-74).

Mercedes Copeland scored 24 points with 11 rebounds while Moyer and Miranda Zeanchock each scored 15 points for Harrisburg.

The Storm hosts Wells College at 6 p.m. Wednesday night, the last of three straight home games.
