Carly Dalton and Madison Krebs came off the bench to score a combined 32 points as the Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team defeated Hilbert 70-56 Wednesday.

The Panthers used a 17-2 run midway through the first half to eventually build a 20-point halftime lead. Dalton and Krebs combined for 15 points during the run, and Hilbert managed just three made baskets over the final 10:06 of the half to trail 35-15 at the break.

The Panthers led by as much as 25 in the second half before the Hawks switched to a full-court press.  The press ignited the Hilbert offense as they cut the deficit to 59-52 with 2:23 left. On the ensuing possession, Abby Brate scored on a layup, and following a turnover, Dalton scored to stretch the lead back to double-digits.

Pitt-Bradford offset a poor shooting night by hitting 21-34 free throws, scoring 29 points off 32 Hilbert turnovers and holding a 14-point advantage in the paint. The Hawks shot 43 percent for the game and were 15-29 from the stripe.

Dalton scored a career-high 18 points on 6-11 shooting and going 5-9 from the line. Krebs was 6-8 from the floor and sank both her free throw attempts to finish with a season-high 14 points. Geena Sneeringer added nine points, nine rebounds, five steals and three assists.

Pitt-Bradford improves to 6-6 on the season and 4-2 in the AMCC. The Panthers will look to make it three consecutive wins when they host Mount Aloysius Saturday.
