New York, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball team dropped a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) game tonight on the road at ARC Arena against the Bearcats of Baruch College by a score of 67-54. With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 8-4 overall on the season and 3-2 in the CUNYAC, while the Bearcats remain unbeaten at 12-0 overall on the year and 6-0 in conference play.

The first half featured a tight ballgame with five lead changes and three ties.

Following a three-pointer from junior Zoe Randolph that gave Brooklyn its largest lead of the half, 23-17, with 6:30 left before the intermission break, the Bearcats closed out the opening period on a 9-2 run to take a slim 26-25 halftime lead.

Baruch would never trail again as the Bearcats scored the first five points of the second half to go ahead 31-25 at the 18:22 mark. Baruch would eventually take a double digit lead and go ahead 48-36 with 9:42 remaining in the game.

Brooklyn would not go down lightly, as BC used a 9-0 run to cut its deficit to three, 48-45, with 7:24 left. That's as close as the Bulldogs would get, however, as the Bearcats kept Brooklyn at arm's length and rebuilt a double-digit lead. Baruch hit key free throws down the stretch en route to its 67-54 win.

For the game, Brooklyn struggled shooting going 27.4% (17-62) from the field, but shot well from three shooting 58.3% (7-12) from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs also shot 61.9% (13-21) from the free throw line.

Baruch also struggled from the field shooting 30.2% (19-63) and just 27.3% (3-11) from three. However, the Bearcats benefited from the free throw line going 26-for-32 (81.3%) from the charity stripe.

Baruch won the battle of the glass outrebounding Brooklyn 56- 42.

Junior Vanessa D'Ambrosi led the Bulldogs with 17 points and seven rebounds. Seniors Brittany Bowen and Tiffany Thompson and Randolph all finished with eight points. Thompson also grabbed nine rebounds.

Baruch was led by Jessica Duleba and Alicea Ulmer, as both players finished with double doubles. Duleba led all scorers with 29 points and 10 rebounds, while Ulmer netted 20 points to go with a game-high 15 rebounds. Francess Henrey added 12 points and four assists, while Imani Davidson chipped in with 10 rebounds coming off the bench.
