BOSTON, Mass.—Behind a career-high 21 points and 10 rebounds from Brittany Moore (Billerica, Mass.), UMass Boston (10-3, 2-2 Little East Conference) dominated Plymouth State University (1-11, 0-4) 89-50 Tuesday evening in a Little East Conference matchup at the Foley Gym.

The sophomore forward knocked down 9-of-13 shots and grabbed six offensive rebounds for her second career double-double.  After scoring 13 points in her last eight games, Moore poured in 14 points and six rebounds in the first half to help the Beacons to a commanding 45-24 lead. 

Three other Beacons joined Moore in double-digits including reigning Little East Conference Rookie of the Week Olivia Murphy (Canton, Mass.). Murphy finished with 16 points and seven rebounds, just ahead of Teresa Pina (Boston, Mass.) who chipped in with 15 points and eight boards. 

Kirsten Morrison (North Reading, Mass.) was the final double-digit scorer, as she finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.

On the other side, Krystin Corliss led the Panthers with 14 points and four rebounds.

The Beacons dominated the Panthers from start to finish behind a huge advantage in the paint. UMass Boston finished with a 61-28 advantage on the boards and turned their 28 offensive rebounds into 22 second-chance points. Plymouth State managed just seven offensive boards and two second-chance points.

After an even first seven minutes, UMass Boston used a 9-0 run to grab the lead for good. Freshman Gabriela Cogliano (Saugus, Mass.) scored three of her nine points during the run, including a layup to cap off the streak.

Plymouth State managed to cut the deficit to eight points with four minutes left in the half, before the Beacons closed out the first stanza on a 15-4 run. Moore led the charge with six points over the final 3:39, including a jump shot with two seconds remaining.

UMass Boston put the game away for good with a 9-0 run to start the second half to open up a 30-point advantage. The Beacons would extend their lead to as many as 41 later in the half, behind a 41-point performance from their bench.

For the game, the Beacons knocked down 48.7 (37-of-76) percent of their shots from the field, while holding Plymouth State to just 28.8 percent (17-of-59) for the day. 

The Beacons will be back in action Thursday night when they host Bridgewater State University at 5:00 p.m.
