GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. – Gwynedd-Mercy won its CSAC Opener on Saturday, defeating Centenary, 81-34, at the Griffin Complex.

The Griffins (3-2, 1-0 CSAC) used a balanced attack, shooting over 40.0% for the game and forcing 27 turnovers.

Sophomore Kristen Fuery scored 11 points and freshman Jackie Crowley added 10 as GM had their entire lineup register a point.

Gwynedd hit eight of their 10 three-pointers in the first half, to help start the game on a 42-4 run. Junior Jordan Dominic hit a trey with just under a minute to give the Griffins their largest lead of the half (54-11).

The Cyclones (0-7, 0-2 CSAC) were just 11-of-53 (20.8%) from the floor. Kim Osieja had team-high six points. Klarissa Perry and Natalia Ortega each grabbed six rebounds apiece.

Junior Cara McArdle led the Griffins with a career-high 10 rebounds, as GM held a 55-35 edge on the glass. McArdle also dished out six assists. Crowley had three of the team's eight blocks.

Gwynedd-Mercy will welcome Neumann on Wednesday as part of a CSAC Doubleheader. The women tip it off at 6 p.m. followed by the men at 8 p.m.
