Highlights

- Melissa Peng and Rachel Crittenden also scored in double figures for NYU. Peng tallied 10 points and four assists in 38 minutes, while Crittenden scored 11 points, going 9-10 from the free-throw line.

- Riley Wurtz narrowly missed her third straight double-double, recording eight points, nine rebounds and four assists.

- All 11 Violets on the roster saw action in the game, with Regina Argenzio, Marisa Bella and Yokaty Marte making their debuts.

- NYU built an early 19-4 lead and never looked back, using its fast-paced transition game to score easy layups. The Violets' lead was 15 at halftime (35-20) and ballooned to the final margin of 38 late.

- Led by Crittenden, NYU was outstanding from the free-throw line, going 19-21 (90.5%) as a team. Dawe (6-7) and Peng (4-4) also shined at the charity stripe.

"With the game being right before the holiday and coming off a tough loss, I was very pleased to see the team come out and compete for 40 minutes," said Head Coach Lauren Hall-Gregory. "We did a better job deciding when to transition and when to pull up and run the offense."

The Violets return to the court on Monday, November 26, when they travel to Hackettstown, NJ, to take on Centenary College at 6:00 pm. The contest begins a five-game road swing.
