Gallaudet toppled by first-place Penn St.-Harrisburg

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Gallaudet University women's basketball team continues to search for its first win during the month of January as the Bison dropped a 61-32 decision Wednesday to visiting Penn St.-Harrisburg, the first-place team in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) South Division, before a crowd of 289 at the Field House.

Penn St.-Harrisburg (8-6, 6-1 NEAC South) went on a quick 16-0 run and led 19-2 midway through the first half. The Lady Lions were aggressive on defense as they pressed and trapped the Bison ball handlers as GU turned the ball over 16 times in the first half. Gallaudet (3-11, 1-7 NEAC South) finished the game with 29 turnovers that led to 28 points scored by the Lady Lions. Harrisburg led 34-13 at intermission.
