Bison back in the win column as Latham sinks six three-pointers

ABINGTON, Pa. – The Gallaudet University women's basketball team picked up a much needed win on the road Saturday as the Bison defeated Penn St.-Abington 58-47 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game.

Sophomore guard Britny Latham (Cleveland, Tenn.) came off the bench to make a career-high six three-pointers to lead all-scorers with 19 points in 26 minutes played. She finished the game 6 of 10 from three-point range.

Gallaudet (4-12, 2-8 NEAC South Division) snapped a seven-game losing streak as the Bison celebrated their first win of the New Year. GU shot 42.6 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range. After being held to no three-pointers the past two games Latham placed an end to that against the Nittany Lions. The Bison made a season-high 17 steals and passed out 13 assists, the second highest tally this season. GU led 24-20 at the half.
