The win puts the Loggers (13-12, 9-7 NWC) back over .500 and gained some momentum going into the NWC Tournament next week.

McKinnis led the Logger effort with 19 points while Amanda Forshay contributed 18 points and seven rebounds.

Jocelyn Rirordan and Ashley Agcaoili combined for the first five points of the game to give the Loggers a quick lead. However, the Wildcats (10-15, 4-12 NWC) went on a 6-0 run and took an early lead on a pair of Gretchen Owens free throws.

Owens had 22 points to lead four Wildcats in double digits on the night.

McKinnis' 999th and 1,000th career points came at the 16:41 mark to regain the lead for the Loggers. Over the next 10 minutes, the game went back and forth several times until a three-pointer from McKinnis gave the Loggers a 27-24 lead, which they would hold the rest of the game.

The Loggers took a 37-33 lead into the locker room at halftime and went on an 8-0 run early in the second half to extend the lead to double digits. The lead reached as much as 19 points late in the game as the Loggers held the Wildcats at bay to gain momentum at the end of the regular season.

The Loggers head down to NWC regular season champions George Fox next Thursday for a 7 p.m. NWC semifinal game.
