DOYLESTOWN (PA) – FDU-Florham outscored Delaware Valley College, 40-23, in the second half as the visiting Devils posted a 76-57, Freedom Conference victory.

FDU-Florham, which is still eligible for an ECAC postseason bid, moved its record to 13-12 overall and 7-7 in the Freedom. The Aggies ended their campaign with a 12-13 overall record and a 3-11 mark in the conference.

Delaware Valley held an early seven-point lead before the Devils took a 36-34 lead into the break. The second half was all FDU-Florham as it shot 47.1 percent from the field while holding the Aggies to 30.8 percent shooting and forcing 14 turnovers.

The Devils opened the stanza with an 11-4 run over the first eight minutes for a nine-point advantage. Delaware Valley was still down nine with 9:46 remaining when the Devils erupted for a 19-4 run and a 72-49 advantage with 2:51 to go.

Twenty-four seconds later, Delaware Valley senior Brittany Battinieri hit a 3-pointer for the final time in an Aggie uniform. It gave her three for the game and 253 for her career, moving her into second place on the Middle Atlantic Conference (Commonwealth Conference and Freedom Conference list) all-time list. Battinieri, who had 11 points and five assists in the game, finished third in school history in assists with 374, seventh in scoring with 1,304 points and 10th in steals with 195.

Fellow seniors Sarah Delcasale, Jackie Shunkwiler and Melissa Weil were honored before the game. Junior Emily Soper paced the Aggies with 14 points and eight rebounds while freshman Brenna Coll added 12 points and six boards. Delcasale hit double digits with 10 points.

Kyra Dayon was dominant inside for FDU-Florham as she notched 23 points, 15 rebounds, five blocked shots and four steals in 32 minutes of action. Jalessa Lewis recorded 14 points and eight assists while Melissa DeHass had 11 points and eight boards in the win.
