Maggie Weiers had 18 points and Taylor Young scored 15 as the first-place Tommies (14-1 overall, 12-0 MIAC) ran their win streak to 14 and improved to 6-0 at home with a win over the third-place Oles (11-4, 8-4) in Wednesday night's MIAC women's basketball play at Schoenecker Arena.
The No. 24-ranked Toms rallied from a 32-28 halftime deficit with a 9-0 run to start the half and a 11-2 run midway through the period.
Freshman Anna Smith scored a career-best 12 points off the bench. The Tommies knocked down 18 of 21 free throws.
Mackenzie Wolter scored 18 points to lead St. Olaf. The Oles sank eight 3-pointers.
The Tommies kept their one-game lead over Gustavus, which won 83-82 in overtime at Hamline. The Gusties hit a long three at the end of regulation to force the extra session.
St. Thomas plays Saturday at third-place St. Mary's.
