The Millikin women's basketball team cruised to an easy 76-39 victory over North Central University on Dec. 18 in the final game of Millikin's Harriett Crannell Holiday Classic.

          Millikin jumped out quickly on a 17-4 run and built a 51-18 advantage at the half.

Millikin shot 44 percent from the field including 51 percent in the first half.  The Big Blue held the Rams to 25 percent shooting for the game.  Millikin won the rebounding battle 55 to 32.

          Eighteen Big Blue players saw action in the game.  Crystal Zeigler and Bria Williams each had big games for Millikin.  Zeigler had 10 points and seven rebounds with Williams scoring 10 points and grabbing a team high eight rebounds. 

          Elisabeth Trickey had 12 points for North Central University.  Melissa Kidd had seven points and 11 rebounds.

          Millikin will host Cornell College on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m.  Millikin is now 7-3 on the season.
