Baruch Wins CUNYAC Opener, Defeat CCNY (64-54)

and Alyscia Jordan each scored 14 points to lead the Baruch College Bearcats to a 64-54 road victory over CCNY in a CUNYAC contest played on Thursday night at Nat Holman Gymnasium.

The visiting Bearcats (4-2, 1-0 CUNYAC) defeated CCNY for the 22nd consecutive time by totaling 22 steals and winning the rebounding battle with a 46-38 margin.

CCNY
(0-6, 0-2 CUNYAC)led early at 6-2, but the Bearcats out-gunned the Beavers to lead 35-21 at halftime. They continued their momentum in the second half to lead by as much as 24 points (53-29) before the Beavers rallied in the final minutes to get as close as 10 points (64-54) for the final score.

Both teams shot 40 percent, while the Bearcats totaled 19 assists with their 27 baskets.

Toni Fenn scored eight points and notched four steals. Jessica Duleba dished out a team-high seven assists.

Donika Rexhepi led the Beavers of CCNY with 18 points and four steals.

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, December 3, with a 2:00 pm home contest against the Violets of NYU from the
