MENOMONIE (November 27, 2011) - Bodies flew and knees were skinned as UW-Stout survived a 74-68 win over the University of Dubuque Sunday in the final women's game of the UW-Stout Quality Inn and Suites Turkey Shootout at Johnson Fieldhouse.

Both teams held small leads and both teams rallied to take the lead back, but it was Stout (3-3) that put on the last rally, then held on to secure the win.

Trailing by five points, 52-47, with nine minutes remaining, the Blue Devils rallied to take the lead for the final time.

Ronnie Moltzau (Fr, Eleva) hit a pair of buckets and Katelynn Folkers (Fr, Fall Creek) hit a three-point play, coupled with a pair of free throws by Whitney Rawdon (Jr, Eau Claire) and a lay-up by Rachel Hanley (So, Minong) to give Stout a two-point lead with 5:09 remaining. Stout did not trail the rest of the way.

Stout iced the game at the free throw line as Sami Schoeder (So, Durand) hit four free throws and Rawdon connected on two in the final 30 seconds.

Rawdon had a Blue Devil career day, notching a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds, spreading her stats evenly across both halves. Schoeder finished with 16 points. Both were clutch with free throws. Rawdon made all eight of her attempts and Schoeder was 8-of-10.

For the Spartans (2-2), coached by former Blue Devil assistant Mark Noll, Aimee Reyzer scored 19 points, Heather Taylor added 16 and Shana Kester contributed 11.

Stout held a good advantage off the boards, pulling down 47 rebounds to 32 for Dubuque. Schoeder added nine boards, while fellow guard Kayla Windt (Jr, Pence) had eight.

Stout will be at NCAA Division II Winona State, Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m.
