PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Junior Stephanie Coro (North Providence, R.I.) scored a game-high 24 points and collected nine rebounds and four steals Saturday afternoon as Rhode Island College defeated Plymouth State University, 81-51, in a Little East Conference women's basketball contest and the regular season finale for both schools at Foley Gymnasium.

RIC winds up the regular season on a four-game winning streak and finishes at 19-6 overall and 9-5 in conference play.  The Anchorwomen will be the fourth seed in next week's LEC Tournament, and will host fifth-seeded UMass Dartmouth  on Tuesday in a first-round game (7:00 p.m.).  PSU wraps up the season at 8-17 overall and 1-13 in the Little East.

Coro made 10-of-22 shots from the floor for her 24 points, while junior Rachel Riley (Coventry, R.I.) powered her way to a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Sophomore Ashley O'Dell (Lincoln, R.I.) chipped in with 10 points and seven boards as RIC out-rebounded PSU, 49-39.

The Panthers were led by senior Amanda Kania (Manchester, N.H./West), who topped the team with 14 points and 10 rebounds, her fifth double-double of the season.  Kania, who was recognized before the game as the team's only senior, wraps up her career with 1,302 points, second on PSU's all-time scoring list.  Freshman Kellie Walsh (Londonderry, N.H.) also scored 10 points for the Panthers, and sophomore Colleen O'Hara (Otego, N.Y.) chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.

The Anchorwomen led the entire game but didn't put the Panthers away until midway through the second half.  RIC maintained a double-digit lead much of the first half, and owned an 11-point margin (40-29) at the intermission.  PSU scored the first seven points of the second half, six coming on three-pointers by Kania and O'Hara, but RIC outscored the home team 22-4 over the next eight minutes and coasted home the rest of the way.
