LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall punched its ticket to the Centennial Conference playoffs with a convincing 75-35 win over Dickinson Saturday at Glenn Robinson Court at Mayser Center. The win, coupled with an Ursinus loss, clinched the No. 4 seed for the Diplomats (13-12 overall, 11-9 CC). F&M will host Ursinus Wednesday in its first CC playoff game since the 2008-09 season. Game time is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Diplomats trailed only once in the game when Taylor Miller's three put Dickinson (10-14, 8-12) ahead 5-4 three minutes into the game. F&M responded with a 12-0 run to lead 16-5 with 13:09 left in the first. Alexa Barbush and Alison Menna scored four points each in the run while Allison Bauer and Amy Chabitnoy added two points. The Red Devils would get as close as nine, 22-13, with nine minutes left before the Diplomats ended the half with an 18-6 run to lead 40-19 at the break.

F&M began the second half with an 11-2 run to take a 30-point lead, 51-21, in the first five minutes. Barbush and Bauer paced the run with three points each while Megan Pauley and Menna added two and Kristina McCarthy hit a free throw. The Red Devils would get as close as 22 points in the remainder of the game.

Bauer and Elizabeth Snyder shared a team-high 15 points for F&M. Bauer, who also added five rebounds and a career-high seven assists, tied a season-high in points. Barbush netted 14 points with seven steals.  Seniors Amy Chabitnoy and Alison Menna scored eight and six points.

Carole Dempsey led Dickinson with 13 points.
