Wesley's Owens Wins Second Straight CAC Award

YORK, Pa. - Wesley College forward Angie Owens (Seaford, Del./Seaford) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Week after leading the Wolverines to a pair of victories.

It is the second straight week she was honored by the conference and the fourth time this season.

This week she shared the award Jamie Roberts of St. Mary's (Md.)

Owens averaged 22 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.5 blocked shots in a pair of wins, including a double-double of 26-points and 11 boards Saturday to push Wesley past Roberts and St. Mary's. Owens also had 18 markers, six rebounds and four steals Wednesday as the Wolverines posted their first-ever win against Marymount.

Wesley is back in action on Wednesday, February 16 when York (Pa.) visits Wentworth Gymnasium.
