DEFIANCE, Ohio – Forty minutes of regulation play was not enough to determine a winner on Saturday, in a game that featured 17 ties and 26 lead changes between Defiance and Mount St. Joseph. Mount outscored Defiance, 15-8, in the overtime period, handing DC the 99-92 loss.

Defiance scored the first four points of overtime to claim an 88-84 advantage with 4:17 left to play, but Mount St. Joe ended the game on a 15-4 run as DC went cold from the field, missing six of its last seven shots. The Jackets hit nine-of-19 three-pointers in the game at a 47.4 percent clip, marking the fourth-straight game DC has posted a higher shooting percentage from deep than from inside the arc.

The loss overshadowed some impressive individual performances, as Erica King posted a team and career-high 19 points and connected on four three-pointers for the second-straight game. Tasha Stucke chipped in 13 points on five-of-seven shooting to go along with six assists and four steals. Stucke's six dimes gives the senior point guard 370 for her career, and brings her within 18 assists of cracking the top-five on DC's all-time assists list.

Defiance (10-13; 8-8 HCAC) remains in fifth place with the loss, but sits just one game ahead of Rose-Hulman (9-14; 7-9 HCAC) and two games ahead of Bluffton (9-14; 6-10 HCAC) and Mount St. Joseph (6-16; 6-10 HCAC).

Bluffton will be in town on Wednesday, Feb. 16, for a 7:30 p.m. tilt with the Lady Jackets.
