Women's Basketball Wins Fourth Straight, Rolls Past College of Notre Dame, 74-45

RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini women's basketball team continued its push towards the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Tournament with its fourth straight win on Saturday afternoon, rolling past the College of Notre Dame, 74-45.

Freshman forward Annie Rivituso powered the Cavaliers' offense, recording her first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Rivituso shot 5-for-7 from the field overall.

Senior guard Julie Bonomo also poured in 12 points, shooting a blistering 4-of-6 from beyond the 3-point stripe. Junior guard Laura Caron notched 10 points on 4-for-7 shooting overall.

Freshman forward Maggie McElroy contributed eight points and five rebounds in 16 minutes played off the bench. Freshman forward Colleen Stewart paired six points with eight boards.

The Cavaliers led by 23 points, 44-21, at the intermission behind a 53.1 percent shooting performance in the first half. Rivituso led the Blue & White in the first half, scoring eight points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting.

Cabrini opened the second half on a 15-6 run en route to a 32-point cushion, 59-27, at the 14:06 mark. The Cavaliers led by as much as 37 points, 69-32, with 5:28 remaining.

The Blue & White out-scored the Gators in the paint, 40-18, and in bench points, 34-2.

Senior forward India Scott led the College of Notre Dame with 19 points. Junior guard Cory Santos totaled 15 points.

The victory maintains the Cavaliers' No. 6 position in the CSAC standings overall with two games remaining in the regular season. Baptist Bible College trails the Blue & White for the sixth and final seed by one game.

Cabrini (10-13, 9-5 CSAC) plays its final home game of the regular season on Monday, Feb. 14 versus Baptist Bible. Prior to the game's opening whistle, the Cavaliers' will honor the team's lone senior, Julie Bonomo. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
