MADISON, N.J. (February 5, 2011) - In her final game in Baldwin Gym, senior Jess Reid (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) had one of her best performance of the 2010-11 season. She was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, tallying 14 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.

The Rangers would control the majority the game thanks in part to their quick start. Drew (9-12, 2-8 Landmark) opened the game with a 16-5 run thanks much in part to the senior, Reid who scored six of the Rangers first 16 points.

Susquehanna (11-11, 6-5 Landmark) would crawl back into the game, closing the gap all the way to one point with 11:00 to go in the first half. The Crusaders balanced scoring attack was lead by Samantha Cartwright who had five of her game-high 21 in the first half. The Ranger defense, who held the Crusaders to a opponent-low 21 first half points, enabled them to go on one final run to close out the first half as they went into the locker room with 13 point advantage.

The Crusaders, who never had a lead, would hang around and nearly erase an 11-point deficit with under five minutes remaining. Junior Danielle Barber (Cape May Court House, N.J./Middle Twp.) would halt the Susquehanna momentum with a three from the top of arc with 1:47 left in the game. The three-ball would make the game a two possession and spark the Rangers for the remainder of the contest.

The Rangers would turn the ball over twice in the final minute allowing the Crusaders to get the lead back down to one. Victoria Ault (Middletown, N.J/Mater Dei) would have her 18th point of the afternoon answered by a three from Susquehanna's Erika Barron to make the score 63-62.

Forced to foul, sophomore Jen Mateo (Union City, N.J/Union City) would hit one of two free throws with nine ticks on the clock to make it a two-point Drew advantage. A last ditch effort by Palazzi at the buzzer hit back iron and gave the Rangers their second Landmark win of the year.

The Ranger starting five accounted for all but six of the 64 points on the evening. Ault who had a team-high 18 points also snagged 8 rebounds on the afternoon. Mateo chipped in 11 points and had a game high seven assists in the win.

The Rangers will be on the road for the remainder of the season, beginning with a matchup against Catholic in Washington, D.C. at 5:30 on Friday evening.
