GREENSBORO, N.C. (2/5/11) -- Freshman Gabby Oglesby totalled 15 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and three steals in Guilford College's 68-55 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball win over visiting Virginia Wesleyan College Saturday. Oglesby's teammates, Jazlyn Gibbs and Lauren LeFevers, also scored 15 points as the Quakers (12-8, 8-7 ODAC) won for the fifth time in seven games.

Oglesby and teammate Morgan King (nine points, five rebounds) took over during a decisive stretch early in the second half when Guilford built an eight-point halftime lead into a 53-31 margin with 12:36 remaining in the game. The Marlins rallied back to within 11 with five minutes remaining before the comeback stalled.

The first half saw four ties and seven lead changes before the Quakers pulled away just before halftime. A Brittany Atwater steal and layup followed by a LeFevers three-pointer at the buzzer sent Guilford into the locker room up, 37-29.

Virginia Wesleyan's Kristen Blalock led all scorers with 21 points, 12 in the opening minutes, which helped the guests to an early six-point edge. Teammate Kristina Jameson contributed nine points and five assists.

Guilford returns to action Feb. 11 versus visiting ODAC-rival Washington and Lee University at 7:00 p.m. in the Ragan-Brown Field House.
