LVC Rolls Over Lycoming For 14th Straight

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Three double digit scorers led #13/10 Lebanon Valley to a 65-39 win over Lycoming Wednesday evening. The win was the 14th straight for the Dutchmen, tying the second longest win streak in program history set by the 2007-08 squad. 

Suzie Noyes recorded her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds, nine of which were defensive to pace the team.Andrea Hoover led the team in scoring with 12 points and Caitlin Bachposted 10 in the win. 

Eleven players saw action in the game for Lebanon Valley (19-1, 9-0 CC) with 10 scoring two or more points, while nine grabbed at least one rebound.

The scoring was spread out in the first half with nine players scoring two or more points for the Dutchmen. Hoover notched six points and Bach had five to lead the team. Both players also had a team-high five rebounds. 

Caitlin Murphy opened the game with a jumper and Lebanon Valley held on to the lead for the entire first half. Lycoming came within one point of tying the game on five occasions but were unable to break through. The Dutchmen went up by six points at 8:29 of the first after a layup by Hoover and ended the half with a nine point lead following a basket by Noyes.

The Dutchmen added to their lead early in the second half, going up by 10 points with 16:40 remaining. LVC's defense held Lycoming to 13 points for the remainder of the contest to secure the win. A 3-pointer fromLauren Ruhl at 5:16 pushed Lebanon Valley to a 21 point lead and Gia Russo finished the game with a 3-pointer for the 65-39 win. 

LVC scored eight points in the paint, eight off turnovers, and nine on second chance opportunities in the second half. 

Lebanon Valley hosts Widener Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
