DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College offense continued to click as the Wolverines won their second straight with a 71-59 win over visiting Salisbury.

After a rough start to the new year in which Wesley (9-10, 4-6 CAC) had averaged just 53 points in seven games, the Wolverines have topped 70 in each of the past two games - both victories.

Wesley shot 55 percent in the first half and scored twice in the final 44 seconds to take a 10 point lead into the break, 38-28.

The Wolverines limited the Sea Gulls (7-11, 4-5 CAC) to just 11-of-35 shooting in the first half and Salisbury did not fare much better in the second half, going just 11-of-31 to finish the game at 33 percent.

A bucket by Katie McGahagan with 8:04 left cut Wesley's lead to 58-53, but Amanda Lawrence's (Edgewater, Md./South River) only basket of the day put an end to any threat.

Cory Boyd (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant) scored a game-high 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting, grabbed five rebounds and dished out seven assists to lead the Wolverines.  Angie Owens (Seaford, Del./Seaford) hit 8-of-12 field goals to finish with 16 points and added eight rebounds and three blocks.  Jazmine Miller (Dover, Del./Dover) posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Allison Beddia's (New Castle, Del./Delcastle) 4-of-8 shooting resulted in a dozen points.  Beddia also chipped in with eight boards and a pair of blocks.

Chante' McKinney finished with 13 points to lead the Sea Gulls.  Nicole Sisco and Milan Dry had matching stat lines with 12 points and eight rebounds, but Sisco added five blocks.

Wesley hit 7-of-16 from three point range on the day, while Salisbury went 0-of-7.  The Sea Gulls were awarded 29 free throws in the game, but managed to make only 15 (52 percent).

The Wolverines will look to stay in the win column with a game at Stevenson on February 2.
