NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's basketball team defeated Plymouth State University Saturday afternoon, 88-54, in a Little East Conference game at the Tripp Athletic Center.

UMD went into the break with a 46-27 lead over the Panthers and never let up in the second half.  The Corsairs improved to 5-12 overall and 2-5 in the Little East, while the Panthers suffered their eighth straight loss and fell to 7-9 overall and 1-6 in LEC play.

The Panthers were led by senior Amanda Kania (Manchester, N.H./West) who scored 18 points and junior Alicia Doucet (Manchester, N.H./Central), who chipped in with 14 points.

The LEC circuit resumes on Tuesday as UMass Dartmouth hosts Rhode Island College and PSU visits rival Keene State.
