BOSTON -- Meghan Herrick scored a game-high 17 points to lead the 16th-ranked University of Chicago women's basketball team to a 71-38 win over host Brandeis University in University Athletic Association play Friday evening.

Chicago (12-3 overall, 4-0 UAA) led the entire contest. After building a 41-12 lead at halftime, the Maroons held at least a 30-point advantage throughout the second stanza.

The win marked Chicago's eighth in a row and its third straight by at least 17 points.

Taylor Simpson finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season and third in four games. Morgan Herrick added 12 points.

Amber Strodthoff paced the Judges (9-6, 1-3) with eight points.

Chicago returns to action Sunday at UAA rival New York University. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. (ET).
