#11 DePauw Notches Eighth Straight Win

DePauw scored the game's first 16 points and picked up their eighth straight victory with a 71-41 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over visiting Millsaps. 

The Tigers, ranked 10th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll and 11th by D3hoops.com, improved to 13-2 overall and 6-0 in the SCAC, while the Majors dropped to 6-8 overall and 3-3 in the conference. The win was DePauw's 20th straight in SCAC play and 58th consecutive SCAC home win.

After the opening 16-0 stretch, the Tigers put together a 13-0 run to take a 29-2 lead. The Majors later scored seven straight as DePauw took a 47-21 lead at the intermission. Millsaps got no closer than 24 the rest of the way.

Ellie Pearson and Katie Aldrich each scored 12 points in the win, while Pearson and Katie Aldrich each grabbed eight rebounds. DePauw held a 44-23 edge on the boards. Mathews and Kate Walker each dished out five assists.

Lovie Love paced Millsaps with 12 points, while Janice Okeke and Shante Morton grabbed five rebounds apiece. Shatoya White totaled four assists.

DePauw shot 46.7 percent for the game and hit 8-of-19 three-pointers, while the Majors connected on 33.3 percent from the floor.

The Tigers host Hendrix on Sunday at Noon and the Majors travel to Centre on Sunday.
