Tigers Top Oglethorpe for 18th Straight SCAC Win

Freshman Ali Ross hit six three-pointers and scored a career-high 22 points to lead 12th-ranked DePauw to a 71-48 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win at Oglethorpe. 

The Tigers improved to 11-2 overall and 4-0 in SCAC play with their 18th straight conference win. Oglethorpe dropped to 3-9 overall and 2-2 in league play.

DePauw held a 22-18 lead with just over seven minutes left in the first half before scoring 15 straight over the next seven minutes to push the lead to 19 on the way to a 37-20 halftime lead.

The Stormy Petrels trimmed the lead to 13 on a couple of occasions in the second half before DePauw put the game away with a 16-4 stretch.

Ross (pictured) knocked down six-of-10 three-pointers and finished with a game-high 22 points in 20 minutes. Katie Aldrich followed with 17 points and Ellie Pearson grabbed 13 rebounds and five steals. 

Kelley Reeves paced Oglethorpe with 11 points with Katie Weeks adding 10. Sarah Giles grabbed seven rebounds in the loss.

DePauw outrebounded Oglethorpe, 47-35 and committed just nine turnovers to Oglethorpe's 20.

The Tigers travel to Sewanee for a Noon CST contest tomorrow, while Oglethorpe hosts Centre tomorrow afternoon
