DOVER, Del. - Wesley's Angie Owens (Seaford, Del./Seaford) and Cory Boyd (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant) each turned in double-doubles as the Wolverines picked up a 70-51 win over Drew at the Wesley Shootout.

A jumper by Barber with 3:31 to go in the first half gave Drew (6-3) a 27-26 lead, but the Wolverines (6-4) scored the final 11 points of the half to take a 37-27 lead into the intermission.

The Rangers trailed by just eight with 8:22 to play in the game, but Wesley closed the contest with a 16-5 run to seal the win.

While the Wolverines comitted just two fewer turnovers than Drew, Wesley held a 15-6 advantage in points off turnovers in the game.

Williams 75, Widener 63

For the second straight day, Widener tried to mount a comeback from a double-digit halftime deficit.  But No. 7 Williams held off the Pride and picked up a 75-63 win in the championship game of the Wesley Shootout.

Widener (11-2) trailed by 13 at the half and 17 in the second period, but cut the Ephs (10-0) lead to just six, 53-47, with an 11-0 run after after a three by Joanna Persiano with 9:37 left.  A three by Jill Greenberg ended the rally, however.

The Pride would get that close two more times, but each time Williams stopped the rally.
