Olivet women’s basketball team loses to Siena Heights, 65-53

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College women's basketball team fell to Siena Heights University, 65-53, this afternoon at the SHU Fieldhouse in Adrian.

In the first half, the Saints led by as many as nine points, 21-12, at the 8:44 mark. Olivet eventually settled for a three-point deficit, 29-26, at halftime. In the second half, Siena Heights built its first double digit lead, 41-30, with 16:24 left in the game. The Saints extended their lead to 13 points, 51-38.

Junior Alysia Cole (Roseville) posted a double-double, 14 points and 10 rebounds, to lead the Comets. Senior Stephanie Spehar (South Lyon) joined her in double figures with 10 points.

For the Saints, Shalaha Hubbard led all scorers with 16 points, while Brittany Gibson added 10 points. Chandler Levit and Sierra Brown pulled down 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively.

Olivet returns to the court Tuesday night when it hosts Cornerstone University at 7:30 p.m.
