• The Spartans shot 54.2% in the first half but committed 11 turnovers to keep the Aggies in the game. Delaware Valley had eight more shots in the opening half thanks to the Spartans miscues.
• The second half opened with grad guard Johnny Kennevan drilling a three on York's opening possession to push the lead to five. The Aggies went on a quick 6-0 spurt to take a 39-38 lead 2:19 into the half. The Spartans answered the DelVal spurt with a 13-2 outburst fueled by three triples from Miers and a pair of buckets from Landis.
• The Aggies cut the lead to six at 55-49 but Miers continued his onslaught from beyond the arc with his fifth triple of the game to put York up 58-49. DelVal scored five straight to cut York's lead to four but York went on a 7-2 run to push the lead back to nine. Delaware Valley made one last push to cut the Spartan lead to 70-67 with 4:28 remaining.
• York turned the tide for the final time with a 10-1 run as Miers started the run with a lay up and a sixth three. That was followed by a Kai Cipalla hoop and a Jackson Mascari three to push the lead to 80-68 with 1:37 left in the game. That would be enough to give the Spartans the home win.
