Redlands Men's Basketball records their third win over a top-25 team after defeating No. 25 UW-Oshkosh

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The University of Redlands got their third win against a preseason ranked team on Saturday afternoon as they completed their Great Lakes Invitational with an 82-62 win over No. 25 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (UWosh).

The Bulldogs scored the first four points of the game thanks to Cameron Brown who scored on a pair of layups. The Titans would respond with a 5-0 run of their own to take a 5-4 lead at the 18:01 mark.

That lead for UWosh was their only one of the half as the Bulldogs took their first double-digit lead of the game 10 minutes later, 27-16. Kendrick Currey had nine points during the Bulldogs 23-11 run.

The Titans closed to within eight points, but the Bulldogs finished on a 7-1 run that started with a Khyree Armstead three coming off a Jhace Boston assist and then Boston scored in the paint and Robert Power converted on a pair of free throws to end the half up 43-29.

Redlands maintained their double figure lead for the entity of the second half as they led by as many as 22 after Boston setup Sam Abere on a three in the final two minutes of the game.

Brown and Currey finished with game-highs of 17 points in which both shot over 50 percent from the field. For Curey he has now scored in double figures in all four of his games this season. Boston, Lucas Gordon, and Armstead also had 10 plus points with 14, 14, and 13 points each. Gordon added 12 rebounds, a career-high, for his second career double-doubles.

The tough opponents do not end here for the Bulldogs as they come home for a matchup with No. 9 New York University on Saturday, November 25 at 2:00 p.m. inside Currier Gym.
