DANBURY, Conn. (March 21) – The list of postseason accolades for Saint Vincent College freshman Jaden Gales continues to grow.

After a stellar rookie season with the Bearcat men's basketball team, Gales (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bishop Canevin) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Rookie of the Year, while also being named Second Team All-ECAC.

These latest honors come on the heels of Gales' selection as Presidents' Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and First Team All-PAC.

Gales becomes the first player in program history to be named the ECAC's top rookie after enjoying a phenomenal debut season in the green and gold. He started all 26 games in the front court while leading the Bearcats and ranking third in the PAC in scoring with an average of 17.2 points per game. Gales also ranked second on the team – and ninth in the PAC – with an average of 7.5 rebounds per game, while he placed ninth in the league in blocks (31) and 14th in free throw percentage (.639).

Gales scored in double figures in 21 different games, including nine games with more than 20 points, highlighted by a 35-point output in SVC's home win over Washington & Jefferson on Jan. 28 and a 32-point performance in SVC's win at Grove City on Nov. 22. He recorded six double-doubles and was a three-time PAC Rookie of the Week honoree.
