Lorenzo Bicknese Drains Eight Threes at Elmira College

ELMIRA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team lost an Empire 8 game 82-67 on Friday night at Elmira College.

Lorenzo Bicknese (Somers, N.Y. / Somers) tied the Keuka College (7-13, 3-12 Empire 8) single-game record with eight three-pointers. Bicknese led the Wolves with 24 points and seven rebounds. Jaden Keasey (Newport News, Va. / Menchville) was also in double figures with 14 points against the Soaring Eagles.

The hosts got out to a fast start against Keuka on Friday, scoring the first 14 points of the game while the Wolves opened 0-9 from the floor. Isaac McIlroy (Watkins Glen, N.Y. / Watkins Glen) got the Wolves on the board with a three-pointer six minutes into the game. Lorenzo Bicknese quickly followed with his first three to make it 14-6. The Soaring Eagles extended their lead and led by as many as 22 in the first half. Elmira College led 49-28 at halftime.

The two teams traded points early in the second half. The Wolves would then show life as they would go on a run. Lorenzo Bicknese went on a personal 9-0 run with a trio of threes as Keuka College got the margin back to single digits, trailing 58-49 with 11:46 left to play. Elmira answered with a three, but Keuka later cut it to eight on a jumper by Devin Milton (Opelousas, La. / Beau Chene). However, that would be as close as the Wolves would cut it. Elmira pulled away late to defeat the Wolves 82-67 on Friday night.
