LANCASTER, Ohio - January 18, 2023 - A return to non-conference play was just what Hiram needed to get back on track, as the Terriers snapped a 4-game losing streak with a 98-74 win over Ohio University - Lancaster on Wednesday evening.

The 98 points is tied for the team's 3rd-most points in a game this season, trailing a 108-point effort at Geneva and 101-point outing at Oberlin. The game was played as a replacement for the postponed game against Waynesburg earlier in the campaign.

"We really appreciate OU-Lancaster for getting us back to 25 games after losing one in the first semester," head coach Taylor Roth said after the game. "Road wins are never easy and we never take winning for granted. It was great to play well offensively and come home with a win."

Doug Sartain led the team in scoring with 29 points on 6 three-pointers, while Dushawn Hill added 14 points in his second start of the season. For Sartain, it was his 2nd career game with 6 three-pointers, joining a game against Denison in February 2022 last season.

Roth was also pleased with the energy from Ricky Esdel, and the backcourt leadership of Brodgie Gordon and Max Johnson.

Hiram will stay on the road and return to conference play on Saturday against Wittenberg at 3 p.m.
