MBB: WestConn gets past Panthers

PLYMOUTH, N.H. The Plymouth State University men's basketball team fell to Western Connecticut State University, 62-45, in the Little East Conference (LEC) opener at Foley Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

PSU played tough defensively, limiting the Wolves to a season low in points, but WestConn's stifling full-court defense prevented the Panthers from getting into an offensive rhythm. The game was riddled with several whistles and turnovers as both teams tried to win the dogfight.

Junior Kevin Henry (Stratham, N.H.) led all scorers with 14 points while sophomore Elijah Swanson (Meredith, N.H.) added seven points of his own in the losing effort.
