It was a quick start as Houghton made their first shot 12 seconds in, but the Wolves answered right back with a three by Mason VanDeMortel as the game was off and running. The Wolves would hold an early 15-14 advantage with VanDeMortel scoring nine for Keuka. The junior had a pair of threes and converted an old-fashioned three-point play for the Green and Gold. Keuka later scored 10 unanswered to take control. The Wolves led by as many as 22 in the first and held a 54-35 advantage at the half.

Houghton College cut the Keuka lead down to 16 in the first two minutes, but DJ Billings (Rochester, N.Y. / Greece Odyssey) hit his second three of the game to push the lead back out. The Highlanders continued to battle but were unable to cut into the Keuka advantage. Kobe Schriver drained a three for Keuka to give the Wolves a 70-50 lead with 13:38 left to play. The Green and Gold kept the visitors at arm's reach throughout the second half as the Wolves continued onto the 99-83 Empire 8 Conference victory.
