Out of the break, Gruber made his two three-pointers on back-to-back possessions, but another large 12-3 Elmhurst run gave them an eight-point lead with 14:54 left in the game. The Bluejays' lead ballooned to 20 with 13:01 left on the clock and led by 25 with 8:00 remaining. Aaron Wafford was able to get the game back down to 20, but Elmhurst answered with more free throws, knocking down 11-12 in the second half.

Carroll has a mid-week bye and will regroup before heading to North Central this weekend for a battle with the Cardinals. The Pioneers fell in a heartbreaker at home to the Cardinals earlier this season at home, 81-89.
