Glenside, PA (January 22, 2022) - The DeSales University men's basketball team used an 18-6 run over the final 5:33 to stay unbeaten in the MAC Freedom in a 74-63 win at Arcadia University on Saturday afternoon.

- The win is DeSales' fifth straight over the Knights in the all-time series and improves DSU to 18-8 vs. Arcadia.
- The Bulldogs are 16-1 overall for the first time in team history and stay unbeaten in the MAC Freedom.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs took control of a close game early using a 14-2 run to take a 30-15 lead at the 5:45 mark of the first-half and led by 14 (34-20) at the halftime break.
- The lead was nine at the 10:42 mark when the Knights went on a 14-3 to take its first lead since very early in the game (5-4) at the 5:53 mark.
- A three-point play from senior Timmy Edwards put a stop to the spurt and started a game-ending 18-6 run for the Bulldogs.
- Sophomore Mason Barnes hit a big three-pointer in front of the DeSales bench to give the Bulldogs the lead for good at the 4:12 mark.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Sophomore Elijah Eberly led the Bulldogs with 16 points and grabbed six rebounds.
- Barnes finished with 12 points off the bench and Edwards added 11 points and six boards off the pine.
For the Foes
- Jalen Watkins had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
- Nas Johnson totaled 13 points.
Inside the Box Score
- All 11 players that saw action in the game reached the scoring column as the DeSales bench out-scored Arcadia's, 33-17.
- DSU dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Knights, 40-28, and scored 48 of its 74 points in the paint.
