• The Short Story: The 15th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's basketball team defeated visiting Washington College, 92-61, Wednesday night in Centennial Conference action.

How it Happened
• Washington College took an early 2-0 lead, but graduate student Conner Delaney answered with a deep three on the other end. That sparked a quick 10-0 Blue Jay run, bookended by a Braeden Johnson triple, that prompted a Shoremen timeout at 15:32.
Kedrick Frink hit one of two free throws, followed by a Nick Romeo three-pointer and the lead was down to four. Senior Tom Quarry and Delaney sandwiched three-pointers around a Frink layup and Hopkins led 16-8 at the 13:19-mark.
• Leading by seven after a Sam Corrao bucket in the paint, Johnson drained a corner three to kick-start a 10-2 run. Junior Lincoln Yeutter put the punctation on the run with an old-fashioned three point play to stake the Blue Jays to a 30-15 lead. The lead see-sawed up and down over the final six and a half minutes of the half and Hopkins took a 42-25 lead into the lockerroom.
• The Shoremen opened the second-half scoring, but again the Blue Jays answered. Three straight buckets by the Blue Jays and just like that the lead was 22. The teams went back-and-forth over the ensuing two and a half minutes and JHU led 56-33 with 15:07 to play.
•That's as close as Washington College would get for the rest of the game. Hopkins methodically pushed its lead to as much as 32 before closing out the 31-point win.
